An entity affiliated with Urban Visions purchased the two-story Liberty Building in September of 2006. Located on Seattle’s bustling Pike Street between First and Second Avenue, the building is half a block east from the main entrance to the Pike Place Market. While the 1920’s-era building was in poor condition from a visual perspective, the Urban Visions team saw an incredible opportunity to help revitalize what is arguably Seattle’s most iconic neighborhood. In August 2008, Hard Rock Café also saw this opportunity, and signed a lease with Urban Visions to open their first Northwest café. The building underwent strenuous renovation while seeking Silver certification under the US Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program. The remodeled building now includes a 450-seat restaurant, live concert venue, rooftop deck, Rock N’ Roll memorabilia shop, as well as artifacts from Seattle’s legendary music scene.
